This lovely one is Jen Turner the illustrious Leader of the Heartsong Choir.
Of course this is her sideline, in her other life Jen is a counselor and workshop facilitator. No doubt she harnesses all of her education and personal resources to keep ahead of our rowdy bunch.
Jen also contributes her musical talents to a BC Women’s camp and keeps us connected to the Ubuntu Choirs.
I think Jen’s greatest gift to us as a choir is her ability to show herself to us in ways that help us to see ourselves and laugh. If she sings the wrong note she’ll snarl and say, “Damn it I try so hard to be perfect”. Me too, and Gwad it’s exhausting! Jen you are so bold and beautiful. Thanks for sharing your many gifts.
